Set during World War II, Allied soldiers are trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk, surrounded by German forces. The film intertwines three narratives: soldiers Tommy and Alex struggling for survival on land, civilian Mr. Dawson risking everything to rescue them by sea, and RAF pilot Farrier providing aerial cover.
