"Golden Kamuy" is a historical adventure film set in early 20th-century Hokkaido. Saichi Sugimoto, a Russo-Japanese War veteran known as "Immortal Sugimoto," seeks a hidden Ainu gold treasure to fund his post-war life. The gold's location is tattooed on 24 prisoners, and various factions pursue it ruthlessly. Sugimoto teams up with Asirpa, an Ainu girl seeking vengeance for her father's murder by the thief Noppera-bo. Together, they navigate treacherous landscapes and rival groups in their quest for the treasure.
